Google Wave Is Going To Kill Everybody

I pray for Google’s competition. They will become a monopoly simply because they create the BEST products!

Space: Above & Beyond

A REAL woman!

A REAL woman!

I had a nostalgia moment while browsing the intertubes. Space: Above & Beyond was a hit waaay back in 1995 (still in college!)

I had high hopes for this series. Alas, it only lasted for a year. I especially had a jones for Lanei Chapman (Lt. Damphousse)! Hey this was before I was officially married!

See What Those Kids In NY Started

I love hip hop!

Worldwide y’all!

Big ups to my homey Dave Clarke for lighting the way on this one…

Even with the puffs, I wouldn't cross him!

Even with the puffs, I wouldn't cross him!

Lifted this link from a post on the Black Science Fiction Society (big ups to Milton Davis!):

Ryan Benjamin, in collab with Sean Ruffner and Travis Williams, brings his version of a post-apocalyptic America to the webscreen. I snatched up a screenshot of one of the main characters, Zendes, at left. That alone should give you some of Mr. Benjamin’s flavor.

I love to see people doing their own thing. The internet is such a powerful medium! Check out more of Ryan’s work at deviantArt.

Review: Ursula K. Le Guin’s A Wizard of Earthsea

A Wizard of EarthseaA classic read for the fantasy genre. Also a very good book for the YA crowd…

P.S. – Don’t watch the SciFi Channel’s mini-series. The author has issues (and rightly so) with how they mangled her book.

Getting spotty

No, I’m not coming down with a sickness. Just wanted to let any faithful readers (do I have any? LOL), that posts are going to get spotty over the next few months. Not that I don’t love y’all. It’s just that I was offered an awesome opportunity to be a contributing blogger over at GeekDad!

So, I’ll post some here, but the majority of my posts will be located at the GeekDad blog.
See ya on the internets!

District 9

Multi-National United Community WatchI just stumbled on to the viral site for an upcoming movie, District 9. I watched the trailer and was fooled into thinking this was a documentary about African refugees, until the very last minute. Very clever!

I’m still confused about the premise or where the movie might take the concept. But it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
